i think that women should have the choice to have an abortion as long as its been under 6 months the child is not fully developed and may not even have limbs the child cant talk learn understand think or even look human at the time saying that an embryo is a human being is like saying that flour is a cake

My thoughts on this is that Whoopi was partially right but she said it kind of harsh. Some people in the world such as teens that get pregnant young or rape victims need to abort and I agree that it is their choice, she insisted that they should do it without a doubt. A woman's body belongs to her. A statement I highly agree with was, "if you cannot afford/have the resources for a baby, you shouldn't have it." I also agreed with many other points that were being made in the video. Overall, it was very interesting to hear different opinion on abortion. I am pro-choice because a woman can decide for herself whether or not she's ready for a baby and there's nothing wrong with that. Women should have the choice of abortion. It is naive and childish to assume that every abortion is 'bad' or wrong. This topic is very controversial because of how strong a reaction it brings out in some people, however, looking into the topic objectively, how does it make more sense to be pro life than to be pro choice? People have their reasons. Whether the reason is a good or a bad one doesn't matter. I understand why people would get so worked up over the killing of a baby, and I don't condone it over all else, but it is not the choice of anybody but the mother whether she is capable or ready to have her baby. If the child cannot be cared for, if the mother is not ready for a child, or if the mother simply does not want the child, it should not be brought into this world by an incompetent, unwilling mother. However, I know that these situations are not the only that could occur, and like I said, people have their reasons and their reasons are just as valid as anyone else's over why they choose to abort or not.

I don't really know what side I am on because I believe that if the fetus is hurting the mother as in the fetus is killing the mother if the abortion is not done or if the mother has been raped then I believe that they have the right to an abortion. I am pro-choice. I believe that giving birth should be your decision. People say there are other options, such as adoption, but people always consider the woman involved and not the man. People always say, "what if she can't support the baby." well what if the father can't? The father is required to pay child support no matter where he goes. The mother does not, she can run away to anywhere and leave the baby with the father. So much for gender equality. I believe the choice should be left the the woman having the baby. Many situations can make abortion feel like the only choice available. Many women that will be thinking about having an abortion will be in their early stage of pregnancy. The baby would be not even developed yet. If you are in the right place and in a good situation, then by all means have the baby. However, if you are not in a good place at the time of your pregnancy, then the baby will most likely worsen the situation. After hearing them I still think that women shouldn't have abortions. The only reasons a woman should get an abortion are because the woman was raped or the health of the mother is at serious risk and this needs to be done within the first 12 weeks.

In addition that's not just hurting the baby but the mother too, in most of the situations mothers get hurt too even it may cause death too both of them. Government have done some programs too help hose people out like WIC and food stamps. so there's no reason for them to adoration .

However we all know the results that could happen after that. Your last sentence makes it seem like its okay for people to have sex all they want and keep aborting children if they "accidentally" have one, which isn't the case. My thoughts on this topic is that I side with the decision of being Pro-life. I cringe at the thought of an unborn child being killed. It's selfish in my opinion to make that type of decision for someone who didn't ask to be born. God placed a blessing upon females to have the ability to bare a child, so why terminate the blessing that was given to you. I like how you worded your comment, and I understand why you said prolife, but some people would change their mind once they carry the child the whole way and then stress about how they're going to take care of the child. I think if you're not ready then just go with your first choice.
James Maldonado 4A I agree with your choice. I believe that you shouldn't need to abort your child. If the lady was raped or just irresponsible with there body they should either put the baby up for adoption or get up and work for her babies future.
I'm in the middle between pro-choice and pro-life. If you're too young, at a stopping point financially, or you're just not ready to be a mother it's up to you. I don't think that you should bring something into this world, and then not be able to care for it though. On top of that you have rape victims that end up pregnant. You could argue that you could just give it up for adoption, but I'd think that growing up without parents would be terrible. There's no guarantee that the child will be adopted. It happens all of the time, especially once the baby gets older. What I don't necessarily agree with is getting an abortion for convenience like the one lady said. If you're in a good spot in life, but just don't want kids then just try it out first. If you don't change your mind give it up for adoption. Like I said before this is just my opinion I'll leave it to the mother to decide that's why it's called pro-choice.
I somewhat agree with them, although I somewhat don't. If the woman was raped, then she has every right to have an abortion. No one should force that onto her.
I see both sides of the argument, I feel like pro-life is the better choice because of my religious views, However I feel,during some circumstances, that abortion is okay. For example,rape victims, or those whose lives are in jeopardy if that have the baby.

Legal or not, women whom find themselves stuck in this situation and aren't willing to care for a baby will do anything to get rid of the baby. Do you think the women who decide having an abortion won't feel bad for killing a creature before its even born? I've some articles about how people feel after having an abortion and most cry about it. They go through it but feel guilty right after. It took some 4 months just to feel a bit better. Either side will lead to someone feeling bad so each on is a loser.

The thing I took most from this video was "pro-choice" and "anti-choice". I am Pro-Choice. Whoopi Goldberg was right, at least in my mind, in every statement she said. Being pro-choice doesnt mean that we don't believe these babies matter, but what kind of life can we give it if a mother doesnt want it. For the rest of that childs life, he or she is scared with the fact that he is not wanted because he was conceived by rape or incest. One mother who didnt want a child, but was forced to have it, now may not give that baby a full chance at life. Putting the mother in a situation where she knows she cannot deal with the costs of the baby is cruel. If she doesnt want the baby, if she cant afford it, or is purely not ready, she should have the option of taking care of it before the child is 10 years old and ending in a foster care.

By watching this video I realize how hard it must be to make a decision and take a side. A womans body is her own and her situation will never be the same as someone else. To say your "Pro life" is to say no women gets an option. Even if the baby is killing the women or causing her immense pain. There should always be a choice. Because there will always be different circumstances. I agree with Whoopi 100%. Not everyone is mentally or physically able to produce and raise a child. All women deserve the freedom of choice.

DeleteI understand your point abortion should be illegal. The baby has the right to live. If the mother doesn't want it, she should give it up for adoption. There are so many people in the world who would love a kid, but can't have one. To me, abortion is equal to murder. That's a human being that the woman is killing.

If the woman pregnant thinks she is unable to raise the baby, she could go to an adoption center and she will find parent more than happy to get the child, instead of ending that child's life.

ReplyDeleteI believe that women should have the choice of having an abortion. Sometimes they can't financially support a baby and they don't need the struggle of raising a baby. Also, if a woman is raped, why would she want to raise a baby when her rapist is the biological father. Of course abortion is a hard decision but sometimes women aren't in a good position in life so they can't raise a baby.
I agree with you that women should have a say in whether they keep or abort a baby since they may have not known what they were getting into. In any circumstances, women need to do what's best for themselves & the baby.

ReplyDeleteWomen should have the choice of abortion. It is naive and childish to assume that every abortion is 'bad' or wrong. This topic is very controversial because of how strong a reaction it brings out in some people, however, looking into the topic objectively, how does it make more sense to be pro life than to be pro choice? People have their reasons. Whether the reason is a good or a bad one doesn't matter. I understand why people would get so worked up over the killing of a baby, and I don't condone it over all else, but it is not the choice of anybody but the mother whether she is capable or ready to have her baby. If the child cannot be cared for, if the mother is not ready for a child, or if the mother simply does not want the child, it should not be brought into this world by an incompetent, unwilling mother. However, I know that these situations are not the only that could occur, and like I said, people have their reasons and their reasons are just as valid as anyone else's over why they choose to abort or not.

ReplyDeleteI don't really know what side I am on because I believe that if the fetus is hurting the mother as in the fetus is killing the mother if the abortion is not done or if the mother has been raped then I believe that they have the right to an abortion. If the girl was just being dumb in her decision that I feel like she should have it and if she doesn't want it then give it up for adoption. She doesn't have to keep it but its not right for the mother to have an abortion just because for no reason at all.
I agree on this in too I can't decide what I believe in. If its done by rape them they should have a choice but if people were carless and stupid then they should take responsibility and take care of the baby.

I think that people should have a choice if the baby is going to kill them. I kind of agree with both sides like why would you kill an innocent life before it even comes to the world. Even thought some people don't deserve to have kids if you can't maintain/ support yourself then why have babies spare the time and try no to get pregnant. Also teenagers need to be well informed on how much a baby actually cost and stop getting pregnant so young. Why have sex at that age when you don't think you are ready for a baby or stop your life for a baby to be able to survive. Abortion to me is just stupid who came up with this why is it even a thing.

It is a very difficult decision and not everybody will agree with any decision that is made. People should have a right to choose, but it's just so cruel to kill an unborn baby. All life is precious and shouldn't be put to an end. If the woman does do it illegally they shouldn't be charge with anything even in a way it's murder. I do understand why some would have an abortion also, but under most circumstances they just want to have an abortion, because they can't take care of it. ReplyDeleteMy thoughts after watching the video are I'm strongly towards Pro-choice. Women should be able to choose what they want to do with a pregnancy. Their choice could be leaning towards what's best for themselves & the baby. People who aren't in the position shouldn't have a say in any decisions. They can have opinions, but that's pretty much it because they don't know the circumstances for keeping/aborting. Women who decide not to keep their babies aren't choosing because they're selfish but because they're not ready mentally & physically. People who say that Pro-life is better basically say that women don't have any options & they've to deal with their actions. All women should have their rights to say whether or not pregnant life is for them.

She will likely get pregnant and as a 13 year old rape victim who will likely die during childbirth, she should be able to abort that baby!

Since guys are not in her position, they wouldn't understand. I liked how everyone of them had different opinion on this subject. I agreed more with Whoopi's opinion because she was pro-choice and agreed that women should have the choice to have abortion or not.
I am pro-choice. I believe that giving birth should be your decision. People say there are other options, such as adoption, but people always consider the woman involved and not the man. People always say, "what if she can't support the baby." well what if the father can't? The father is required to pay child support no matter where he goes. The mother does not, she can run away to anywhere and leave the baby with the father. So much for gender equality. This is a problem because the father may not be able to support the baby but he is still required to. I think the father should have a say in the birth, whether she decides to keep it or abort. If the father can't support the child then he shouldn't. And you might think it's his fault for getting her pregnant, but its just as much her fault, too.

My thoughts are with pro-choice because these ladies had a passion for abortion and going through the end the pro-life lady started loosing their choice on abortion. If you cant have the money or even the skills to having a baby then don't do it. Unfit people are just unable to have a child because if children have a bad environment then most likely the child is going to be bad. My thoughts are on pro-choice all the way.

The ladies were saying that is wasn't right because you don't know the potential of the kid. I don't agree with this because what if the girl is poor or doesn't have the mental strength for a baby. I understand the guy has to help her with the kid but if she isn't ready then she should be allowed to abort it if she wants.

I think both is important because if the child is killing the mother or the mother has been sexually assaulted they should have the right to get an abortion. In my opinion I chose pro-life. I believe that no woman should have an abortion. If they were brave enough to have unprotected sex then they can be brave enough to take care of a baby. My idea of life is that everything happens for a reason. People often don't think choices while or before they make them but it always comes back at the end. Abortion is never acceptable unless the parent is mentally unstable. As far as anything else I am against it.

DeleteIf this were the case for all pregnancies I would agree with you. The problem is although, that there are women, even teenagers, whom are raped and result pregnant. Until those whom claim to be pro-life and are all about the "no fetus should be killed" would actually aid those whom are pregnant and lack the resources to sustain a kid I believe the responsibility of having a kid should be left up to the mother to decide. By the way, if you're pro choice when a parent is mentally unstable, that makes you prochoice all the way. Pro choice is just that, pro choice not pro abortion.

ReplyDeleteI believe the choice should be left the the woman having the baby. Many situations can make abortion feel like the only choice available. Many women that will be thinking about having an abortion will be in their early stage of pregnancy. The baby would be not even developed yet. If you are in the right place and in a good situation, then by all means have the baby. However, if you are not in a good place at the time of your pregnancy, then the baby will most likely worsen the situation. If the women wants the abortion because of a situation like this, she should be allowed to have it. On the other hand, if the women can support the baby and wasn't forced to have it, then they should definitely not have an abortion.

ReplyDeleteAfter hearing them I still think that women shouldn't have abortions. The only reasons a woman should get an abortion are because the woman was raped or the health of the mother is at serious risk and this needs to be done within the first 12 weeks.
My thought on this after the video is that women should still not get abortions but rather find other solutions. If they couldn't take care of it or if it was unwanted they can give it up for adoption and let someone generously take care of the baby. But I do agree that they should say anti pro choice instead of pro life.

I'm pro-life because no matter what the situation is it's not the babies fault, and every human life is valuable; who knows maybe that child will change the world. In addition that's not just hurting the baby but the mother too, in most of the situations mothers get hurt too even it may cause death too both of them. Government have done some programs too help hose people out like WIC and food stamps. so there's no reason for them to adoration .
My thought on this is that I don't think women should get abortions. Instead of a abortion you should just give the baby up for adoption I think that that's better than killing a human. If you don't think you can take care of a baby than keep your legs closed. You basically taking a life out this world. So just get a adoption so the baby can have a loving family.

There should be no reason that you take a life of a baby that did anything wrong. The child deserves to have a chance to live even if it isn't with you. And if you don't want to get pregnant there are many other options such as using a condom, birth control,the morning after pill, or just flat out don't have sex.

DeleteAlthough there are other options for babies who aren't necessarily wanted these options might not be the best for the baby. There are thousands and thousands of children who don't get adopted. Many people don't see that as being a bad option when compared to abortion, because hey at least they're living right? It's also shown that people that came from a bad childhood are usually grown to be criminals because of the lack of care in their life. and you don't get the love and affection you need in a foster home or orphanage. I do agree that people should be more cautious when having sex to prevent pregnancies. But you have to think about where the life of this child is probably going to end up. The child gets to live but are they living the life they truly deserve?

Having a baby is a HUGE responsibility you are raising a child, you're putting someone out into the world. And they're are many people who aren't ready for that yet. Yes killing an unborn child is wrong once you think about it, but then again if you cannot financially support the child and in many other ways, then I think it would be best to get rid of the fetus before it truly starts to develop in a whole child. However we all know the results that could happen after that. Your last sentence makes it seem like its okay for people to have sex all they want and keep aborting children if they "accidentally" have one, which isn't the case. People know what they're getting into and some of the risks before they even start. An unborn child shouldn't have to die because of the parents negligence.

I'm in the middle between pro-choice and pro-life. If you're too young, at a stopping point financially, or you're just not ready to be a mother it's up to you. I don't think that you should bring something into this world, and then not be able to care for it though. On top of that you have rape victims that end up pregnant. You could argue that you could just give it up for adoption, but I'd think that growing up without parents would be terrible. There's no guarantee that the child will be adopted. It happens all of the time, especially once the baby gets older. What I don't necessarily agree with is getting an abortion for convenience like the one lady said. If you're in a good spot in life, but just don't want kids then just try it out first. If you don't change your mind give it up for adoption. Like I said before this is just my opinion I'll leave it to the mother to decide that's why it's called pro-choice.

ReplyDeleteAfter watching this video, I believe that a lady should have the right to choose what will be the best thing for them. Some ladies decide to give birth because they believe in them that they can succeed in life with a child. Also because they believe that no one should take a life away. Other ladies decide to have an abortion because they think negatively for their future. They might think that there might not be a solution to this kind situation. Over all, in my opinion abortions should not happen, but everyone has their own decisions and they can do what they think its best for them.

DeleteIf a women isn't prepared to have a baby I believe she should be able to abort it. That being said I think she should go through every other option but ultimately its her choice. Abortion is a difficult subject to tackle but I would say I am pro choice.

In my opinion women should have the wright to do whatever they want. They should decide to make their own choices. And decide if they want abortion or if they want abortion. Cause some women aren't ready to have kids. You can't really force any women to have an abortion or to not have abortion. Cause it's all their choice on what they do.

ReplyDeleteAbortion to me is such a diverse topic in itself, set aside all the aspects of it. I believe if a women has thoroughly thought out the situation and she firmly believes she should abort the baby after addressing every other option then she should be able to have an abortion.

ReplyDeleteI agree with mostly everything Whoopi Goldberg was saying, I feel like if you can't afford to take care of a baby or if your not ready/prepared and that's what you decide to do then you should be able to abort it. I also agree with the fact that they should change the name from pro-life to anti-choice because just because you're pro life doesn't mean you don't think people shouldn't have a choice.

ReplyDeleteAfter watching this video I believe I am pro-choice. The reason I am pro-choice is because the baby had noting to do its not his fault. No matter what the moms decides the baby should live. Because sometime the mom might be under pressure and get abortion. Getting abortion is murdering and you shouldn't have a kid if you not ready. Even if your underage you should not be able to get abortion.
After watching this video I was thinking I would have be pro choice because you should only be able to keep the baby. Many people don't think it wouldnt be right but in my opinion if you had choice to have sex you should keep you baby.

DeleteWell what if the person had some type of disease like aids and such and they were pregnantI wouldn't want to see my child come out with some disease the would suffer from instead of having a life so in some cases pro life is good but other times just because you can't handle a child well you shouldn't be doing stuff then .
After watching the video, I still don't have a side to any of this. My choice is to stay away from these types of arguments that will never have a winner. My personal opinion is to leave me out of things if they don't concern me. Whether to have an abortion or not is the person's decision. No one has the right to influence them.

I strongly agree with pro choice.I believe that a woman should have the right to do anything she wants and that includes abortion. It should be her choice if she wants to keep the baby. There will be many circumstances when a woman can choose not to keep her baby. It could be a mental or physical problem that could force a woman to get an abortion. However it should always be her choice.

I believe this should be left up to the parents. This the own parents burden. They are the ones that carry the child. So they should deal with the problems and anything else that comes with it. This a very hard subject to discuss. So their is not one clear answer

ReplyDeleteMy thoughts on abortion after watching the video is that abortion should only be done if it is really needed;abortion should not be done because of a mistake u made when the child had no fault in it.I am not with or against abortion.It really all depends on the situation you are in.
My thoughts on the ladies of the view was that if you can't raise your baby you shouldn't have to have it. At the same time if you don't have no help or the resources then it makes it twice as hard also. All life is precious and isn't, and shouldn't be played around with. If you had to choose to either kill the baby or kill yourself, I'm pretty sure you would choose to kill yourself to let the baby survive, if you don't then wants the point of being alive, and you are just plain selfish.

ReplyDeleteI deeply believe that abortion is almost like legalizing weed. Legal or not, women whom find themselves stuck in this situation and aren't willing to care for a baby will do anything to get rid of the baby. So, it'd be best if we all stuck to pro-choice because like one of the ladies said pro-life is actually just anti-choice. I'm not saying that giving women the opportunity to abort a baby is moral, but from moral to moral I'd much rather know a woman decides to abort a fetus then to know a child is out on the streets living a harsh life. The downside to pro-life is that those who claim such typically do it because they haven't experienced such situation or even just because it'd be their choice to keep a baby, but they don't realize that life isn't the same for all. Even worse, they promote life but don't really do anything to help the women whom are pregnant and lack the resources to provide their child with a good of enough life. Instead of being selfish, we should give all women the right to make decisions of their own without feeling guilty and miserable.

And I believe that if someone is "Pro-Life" they might change their mind if they were in a situation where they would want or need to abort their child. You really can't make the decision of whether or not a woman should have a child until you've been in that situation, or you see what happens to an unwanted child.
I agree with what you're saying for pro-choice, but are you really sure they won't feel guilty after having an abortion? Do you think the women who decide having an abortion won't feel bad for killing a creature before its even born? I've some articles about how people feel after having an abortion and most cry about it. They go through it but feel guilty right after. It took some 4 months just to feel a bit better. Either side will lead to someone feeling bad so each on is a loser.

ReplyDeletemy thoughts is that women do have the right to make there own decisions. yes its wrong to kill an unborn baby, but you never know the situation on what the girl is going through whether if it was that she got raped or had unprotected sex, but if the girl cant provide for it then she could give it up for adoption or find a couple who cant have a kid and give it to them. there is other ways to solve a problem like this but not every girl thinks it through all the way or even consider it. but killing an unborn baby is wrong period because a girl can probably live the rest of her life with that weight that she killed her own child and regret it later on. not that all women think like that but for some women it can effect them.

I think that abortion is a choice to be made by the parents only. A statement that I agreed with was when Whoopi said that if you cant afford to have a baby, then you shouldn't have one. But, that doesn't mean to have an abortion. The smart choice in that case would be to give the baby up for adoption. But once again, its their choice in the end.
I agree with you because you shouldn't be able to have a baby if you cant afford to. But if you do have one, you should give it up for adoption, or even give it to family member instead of killing it.

ReplyDeleteI am Pro-Choice. If a woman feels for any reason that she does not want to have the baby, then they should have the choice of abortion. They shouldn't need the consent of anyone either, no matter their age. However I do believe that if the woman wouldn't mind having the child and giving it up for adoption, then they should consider that option as well. But nonetheless, a woman should have the option to abort.

DeleteI agree that considering adoption is a great alternative for some. But the foster system first needs to be fixed before we start using it as an option to send our unwanted kids to. It will become the "humane" way to get rid of a child.

ReplyDeleteMy thoughts on this is that Whoopi was partially right but she said it kind of harsh. Some people in the world such as teens that get pregnant young or rape victims need to abort and I agree that it is their choice, she insisted that they should do it without a doubt. A woman's body belongs to her. She feels the pain, she feels the relief, so she should be able to control her own body, nobody should tell her she should or shouldn't get an abortion because they don't feel what she feels. You can be in charge of your own body, don't tell a woman how to run her life, she very capable to decide on her own and she shouldn't be forced. If you wouldn't want to be forced then don't say that somebody should get an abortion. I also agree with the blonde lady when she says that child could have been something because it could, but at the same time that's not your call, its the woman's. Whoopi says that the child would have ended up bad and its a possibility, its 50/50. But in conclusion, treat somebody how you would wanted to be treated, if you don't want to be told how to run your life, don't tell women that they should or shouldn't have control over their bodies

ReplyDeleteI am pro choice. In certain cases abortion is necessary. Like rape for example no one should be forced to have sex so no one should be forced to keep a baby. I understand having sex has consequences and that should be taken into consideration from anyone that is sexually active. I feel what a women does with her body is their decision even if someone else doesn't agree.
I do support Pro-Choice but I would never do that my self. I do believe that a woman has a right to decide wether they want to keep a child or not, that's totally up to them if they feel like they cant afford to keep a child why bring them to a world where they'll just suffer. I don't see it as murder I just see it as a choice you can make wether you have the capasity to raise a child or not. Im glad they gave women that choice so they don't go out there commiting suicide or thinking their life is over because they're going to have a baby they cant take care of now those women have the choice to get rid of the baby before its too late.

Having a baby is a huge responsibility and if you're not ready to have one in that specific moment , then you shouldn't be forced to. Why bring a innocent child into the world that you can not maintain , all they'll do is suffer. If a women is choosing to abort it's almost always for a reason. Maybe not always a good one but it's a choice women she be able to have.

" I also agreed with many other points that were being made in the video. Overall, it was very interesting to hear different opinion on abortion.
I am pro-choice because a woman can decide for herself whether or not she's ready for a baby and there's nothing wrong with that. Additionally, I liked how video discussed both sides of the issue and related it to how our country is pro-choice.

ReplyDeleteI agree with being pro choice. I feel like the only reason a female should have an abortion is if it's a life or death situation and if she was raped. But the true reason why I'm pro choice is because I don't think anybody should tell a woman what to do with her body. If she wants to have an abortion because she feels like she's not ready, that's her problem. Yes, she should probably value life more but that's on her and it has nothing to do with nobody else.
I do not support pro choice because I believe that it's wrong to take someone else's life just because it doesn't go your way. Women should just have the baby instead of killing the baby because abortion is unnecessary. Abortion should be illegal and I really have no clue why they legalize abortion. In my opinion abortion is irrelevant and stupid. I insist that there should some major changes about abortion.

DeleteMy thoughts are pretty simple. I think that pro choice isn't the worst thing. Pro life is forcing yo to do something that you may not wanna do. As in having a baby that you aren't ready for.Pro choice is like you can have the baby if you want but if you know you aren't ready then you are allowed to get an abortion. I'm not saying I support abortions but I don't think it would be smart to struggle with having a child and not having help will stress you out and you will feel like you cant provide for your child and that might send you into an unhealthy depression.

So no matter the choice people are the ones that control their own lives, that's why it's important to always be able to choose for yourself.

ReplyDeleteAfter watching the video I thought that once the baby has a heartbeat, its entitled to its life, you cant just decide to end it because you don't want it. But at the same time if they just simply cannot afford to care for an infant then they shouldn't have it, its really a touchy and complex subject in my mind, there's valid points to each side and an agreed upon solution may never become a reality.

ReplyDeleteI believe I am completely pro choice. In being pro choice as a woman you have the option of doing whatever you want to your body. You should really go through every other choice before ultimately deciding to abort a baby. Pro life is not having a choice, forcing you to do something that you do not want to do. Someone may not be able to provide for their baby , they are just not financially possibly physically not prepared for a baby or to have a baby. All women should have a choice depending on if it is not the right one for you it may be the right move for them.
I totally agree with you Pilahr, women have the choice to do whatever they want. They might not be mentally and financially ready and that wouldn't be the right way to raise a baby.

As in having a baby that you aren't ready for having. getting a baby isn't that easy as some people think it is. you should know how to take care of a baby before you get one. All women should have the choice of getting a baby because you can't force them to have one.
The thing I took most from this video was "pro-choice" and "anti-choice". I am Pro-Choice. Whoopi Goldberg was right, at least in my mind, in every statement she said. Being pro-choice doesnt mean that we don't believe these babies matter, but what kind of life can we give it if a mother doesnt want it. For the rest of that childs life, he or she is scared with the fact that he is not wanted because he was conceived by rape or incest. One mother who didnt want a child, but was forced to have it, now may not give that baby a full chance at life. Putting the mother in a situation where she knows she cannot deal with the costs of the baby is cruel. If she doesnt want the baby, if she cant afford it, or is purely not ready, she should have the option of taking care of it before the child is 10 years old and ending in a foster care.

ReplyDeleteMy thoughts on the video are that, these people have a choice. It's not something so simple to decide because it does take a lot of thinking. Pro-choice is something that you decide on, you're not forced to do something and it changes a lot then just thinking you have to have it. In the end no one can decide but you because no matter what judgment you receive for your decision its your own life and its what you thought was best. Each option has pros and cons. But only the person deciding has the power.

I think Woopie was right when she said if u don't believe in gay marriage don't marry someone whose gay . Same for abortion if u don't believe in abortion don't have one simple as that And those are my thoughts on the video.
I feel that it is up to who is caring the baby if they should keep it or not. If you know you cant afford or take care of a baby what's the purpose of bringing them into a struggle. Some people just aren't responsible enough to step up and take care of a child even if it wasn't a planned pregnancy. bottom line is no one should be forced to have keep a baby they don't want

ReplyDeleteThe topic on abortion in particular is very hard for me. I don't feel like I side with one specific side just ideas and beliefs of my own. By watching this video I realize how hard it must be to make a decision and take a side. However, I think that I cant completely side with saying its right to stop a life from coming into the world, but its also not right for letting that life suffer for something that wasn't its fault. What I did agree on while watching the video was that its probably best to know if you can afford to take care of that child. If your in conditions to be a parent then I feel like nothing should stop you from having a kid.
