The War on Terror id say has so much succeeded, as planned. The activity of terrorism was seemed to be on a rise since the beginning of the War on Terror. As the plan hasn't gone exactly how it was suppose to, I still feel like it's just going to take more time. For example, everything that's been going on in Iraq. After a long time coming the Iraqi Special Forces are moving towards retaking Mosul. The War on Terror hasn't succeeded as planned and it seems as if it has created more terrorists, or at least made a rise in their activity.

  2. The War on Terror has created more problems and more terrorists. When we go to these other countries and capture them to get Intel from them about a situation many of times we have to torture that individual to get the information we need because they are so loyal to their country and their group that they would do anything to keep the information a secret.

I believe given the context of the War on Terror and the continued misuse of the term terrorist, it has created far more terrorists than it has killed. I believe the War on Terror is foolish because it is impossible to remove terrorists completely from society. Society will always have to deal with violence.http://www.globalresearch.ca/u-s-war-on-terror-has-increased-terrorism/5355073

I believe this because we are going over to their country and fighting them and this causes more people from their country to hate us because we are killing terrorist as well as innocent people. as we are fighting them in their country we are also destroying it.http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2013/10/u-s-war-on-terror-has-increased-terrorism.html

The War On Terror is only increasing the amount of lives being lost and also, the amount of attacks. To defeat ISIS (or other extremists ) , we must act in a better and smarter way instead of fighting back the same way they are are fighting. We cannot expect a good outcome when fighting fire with fire. How does this make us any better than all of the other terrorists out there? If the War on Terror had succeeded, then we would not be here right now talking about it. The only result has been the death of innocent people and attacks on innocent countries.

Yes the war against terror has done little to minimize terrorism. Actually it has increased significantly. By now it has increased to a point that it has grown to be bigger that al-Qaeda had at its height. The reason is most likely to be that since they believe that 'God' has chosen them for those "missions" ,and that is they accomplish their goal they enter to heaven, when they die they become martyrs to the eyes of other within the same beliefs and that encourages them to keep joining and keep doing it.

"The War on Terror" is just creating more problems and more terrorist. We go over to conquer them but all that is happening is just more fatalities in this situation. We are just killing "terrorist" and they are killing us all that is happening is that we have more deaths on both sides of this fight.

I believe that that "The War on Terror" have created even more terrorists and issues. Our plan to just go into terrorists' countries and kill them has been a little effective but it just created more people to fight for the terrorists' cause. As the families of those terrorists watch them getting killed, they feel that they need to join the cause. Also, many people become very angry with America going into their countries, and that creates even more hatred towards America. We are basically going in and killing all the people as well as ruining the country.

It is now over a decade since the terrorist attacks in the US, simply dubbed “9-11” shocked the world, and ushered in a global “war on terror”.And looking back, what has the US to show for its decade of effort? Has it been winning the war on terror? It depends how it is measured. The killing of Osama Bin Laden was of course a major success. The families of those terrorists watch them getting killed, they feel that they need to join the cause. Also, many people become very angry with America going into their countries, and that creates even more hatred towards America. We are basically going in and killing all the people as well as ruining the countryEvery one of the victims who died on September 11th was the most important person on earth to somebody. The American people have responded to the tragedies of September 11 with an unprecedented outpouring of support for their fellow Americans who lost so much on September 11:

  11. I think it has created more terrorist because America has killed Osama benladin in revenge to the 9/11. I think that made a lot more Muslims mad because he had been there leader for years. I feel like they might think they instead of killing Osama, they could have just crashed one of their planes into something that belong to the terrorist. http://www.globalissues.org/issue/245/war-on-terror by: Brianna C.

  12. I believe that the war on terror is increasing and it's going to lead to World War 3. We are in the period of anxiety and distress. Acts of terrorism are becoming more common and messages of the end times are coming. ISIS will use nuclear weaponry for WW3 and the UN can't do anything since the agreed to not use nuclear weapons/technology. We are wasting money to fight and stop terrorists but are not making much progress. If we don't do something now, WW3 will happen.

The War on Terror did stop many problems at first, but over a long run it caused more problems. It caused more terrorists because it made more people mad and caused more deaths on top of deaths. To stop the terrorists we have to kill the terrorist which cause more deaths and murders. While we are killing them they are killing us and the death toll is going to increase over time. We did end up killing Osama Bin Laden also, but just because you stop one terrorist another one is bound to pop up. The War on Terror wasn't a success due to how many other terrorist are out there and how many potential ones are out there. The only was to stop the war is if both sides put down their guns, although that will probably not happen because many countries want to achieve victory in war. The War on Terror is a failure and more people will continue to get killed over actions that could be prevented. More and more terrorist will just be created and more wars will happen.

I believe that the War on Terror is making things worse. We're just going over and killing people that doesn't really solve anything, like in the article is says "You can bomb a thing into oblivion, but you cannot blow up an idea" It's just causing more deaths and we can't just keep letting people die.

The war on terror is far from reducing the number of terrorists and is instead increasing that same number in this world. In my opinion, like many others, violence on violence only results in more violence. Like I once heard, killing one murderer leaves the world with the same number of murderers as before. Hoping that terrorists would suddenly stop their cruel actions against many innocent people simply because "greater force" is placed upon them is both an unrealistic and impossible solution. We forget to acknowledge that many of the leaders responsible over such fatalities, not only kill others, they also kill themselves. It takes more then war to stop someone who is willing to give up their own life for something they are committed to, especially when they truly believe it is right and for a good cause.

Terrorism has increased instead of decrease because, since they believe God chose them and if they die for the cause they will enter to heaven they become martyrs. Therefore making more people believe that what they are doing is correct. In the article it says, "Yet one by one, they were targeted for regime change. And one by one, the countries they ruled faded to black, from gray zone to utter darkness, as the green flags of the Arab nationalists were supplanted by the stark black and white flags of the jihadis." I believe that war causes more war and terrorism causes more terrorism. I believe the War on Terror is foolish because it is impossible to remove terrorists completely from society. Society will always have to deal with violence.

I think that the war on terrorism hasn't been as effective as it was planned to be. It has been effective in some ways, but very ineffective in others. I think that sending troops to the homelands of these savages probably wasn't the best idea. We should've responded with a full out war. Like jets and tanks blowing stuff up over there. No prisoners no by standers. kill any and everything. That would have solved the problem for good. no more terrorist. I watched a movie based on real life events recently, the lone survivor, and it's about a navy seals team that goes to capture a terrorist, but on the way to capture this mischief middle eastern man there cover gets blown and they are forced to retreat. Then later they are chased down and killed by these people. It would've been easier to just send drones out to bomb his compound.

  19. The simple idea of doing terrorist actions never occur to the people that do them. They believe they are or were chosen to do that by the bidden of their 'God'. As a matter od fact I can tell you that this is no amusing thing, these people are blind in their actions. Terrorism has increased instead of decrease because, since they believe God chose them and if they die for the cause they will enter to heaven they become martyrs. Therefore making more people believe that what they are doing is correct.

The war on terror has only created more terrorists. Us fighting back the same way they do has only persuaded others to join and fight. This leads to more lives that are lost and the increase in attacks. In order to make this "war on terror" succeed is by thinking in a different and more intelligent manner instead of fighting back which worsens the situation. The only results of these attacks are deaths, refugees , and an increase in more terrorists.

Terrorism has increased in the last 9 years since the united state started its war on terror. The war on terror has weakened national security and safety. It increased the killing of innocents civilians and injuries. One of the principal causes of terrorism is injuries to people and families. Iraq had the first place on terrorist fatalities in 2014. Its clear that terrorists attacks in Iraq has increased after the invasion of the united state in 2003.Many nations have a high terrorism attacks after the invention of the united state. Such as Afghanistan, the middle east, Asia, and Africa have a high terrorism record after the U.S war on terroir.

I think the "War on Terror" has brought more terrorism. The War on Terror invaded Afghanistan and Iraq because of the 9/11 attack caused by 19 men from the Al Qaeda. If 9/11 never occurred then the creation of ISIS wouldn't exist. War on Terror tries to "defend" people from terrorist but the more they try to stop them the more terrorist want to fight back. All this war between the "War on Terror" and "ISIS" have killed thousands and thousands of innocent people. If they do end up defeating ISIS, I believe another terrorist group will form and it'll be the same story all over again.

The War on Terror has created more problems with terrorists. I say this because of one incident that happened not too long ago was the nightclub shooting attack in Orlando, FL. Terrorists now a days want to honor their people's beliefs & behaviors while following their wrongdoings. Instead follow a different route and try to build a better relationship and stop the pattern of having more "War on Terrors."

  32. War on terror has increased has created more terror. When you have war you aren't only killing the bad terrorists but also innocent people which is what leads to more terror. For example, "One of the top military interrogators said that torture by Americans of innocent Iraqis is the main reason that foreign fighters started fighting against Americans in Iraq in the first place." Most people think that when you go into war with terrorist it only affects the terrorist but they don't think about the collateral damage. Especially in the Middle East is where there was the most increase over the years.

  36. The war on terrorism hasn't been very effective. Yes, it has succeeded in some place. It has also managed to weaken terrorist organizations, but it has also created terrorist. The whole reason people become terrorist is because of violence, and mistreatment of people in the world. Hatred only gives birth to more hate. If we keep seeing terrorism as a threat, rather than seeing it as an ongoing issue that needs to be solved, it will generate more and terrorism. We cannot stop it by building a wall, or securing borders because we don't have enough guards to do so, and all borders are permeable. Also, the terrorism is inside already. the Boston Marathon attack was perpetrated by a US citizen... and the Paris attacks appear to have been carried out mainly by French citizens. Right-wing extremists in the United States still kill more people than jihadis, so killing a single terrorist group isn't going to help us. Creating a "war on terror" will make things worse.

The War on Terror also known as the Global War on Terrorism is a metaphor of war referring to the international military campaign that started after attacks on the United States. U.S. President George W. Bush first used the term "War on Terror. The Bush administration and the western media have since used the term to argue a global military political legal and conceptual struggle against both organizations designated terrorist and regimes accused of supporting them. It was originally used with a particular focus on countries associated with Islamic terrorism organizations including al-Qaeda and like-minded organizations.

President Barack Obama announced that the United States was no longer pursuing a War on Terror, as the military focus should be on specific enemies rather than a tactic. He stated We must define our effort not as a boundless Global War on Terror but rather as a series of persistent targeted efforts to dismantle specific networks of violent extremists that threaten America.

I believe that the war on terror has not succeeded...yet. We have spent so much money on having war and always losing in the end. America has not took one step in the right direction towards war on terror. It's like once we kill one terrorist then another pops up or sometimes a whole country. Always seems that when we fix the issue something/someone always finds ways to abolish the solution.

The war on terror succeeded and it did not create more terrorists because many of them died and their was more coming but in the end many of them died and people thought about it and didn't want to become terrorists because they will end up dead like the rest also there might be more terrorists but not as much as before so the war did help out a lot.

the war is a society issue that always goes to be and we have to know how to combat it without damage to the innocent and is something that always will be but not in large scale as the first and second world war, that caused many deaths; this is something that never stop and always will be terrorism.

it has not No, I think that the war on terror has done a good job with making a lot of people in the world thinking twice about whether or not they want to try something, and have their whole country go to war with the US, who will kill the terrorists out.

I think that the war on terror has continued to get worse and I don't think that it has helped. It forced the U.S. move away from their morale's and what they are about. Also some terror attacks may have been an overreaction.

  70. ana lopez 4b This isn’t the first accounting on the suffering unleashed by U.S. counterterrorism efforts, but the American public remains woefully misinformed. A 2007 poll found that Americans estimated the Iraqi death toll at 10,000. And it is not just the body count that has been obscured. A 2011 study by the University of Maryland found that 38 percent of Americans still believe that the U.S. uncovered clear evidence that Saddam Hussein was working closely with Al-Qaeda, though the claim is patently untrue. http://america.aljazeera.com/opinions/2015/4/americans-have-yet-to-grasp-the-horrific-magnitude-of-the-war-on-terror.html

  72. I believe that the war on terror has just increased in more deaths and amount of attacks. Its things worse for example killing people which really does not solve anything. Just killing/bombing and all that its really not solving any problems but just causing deaths.

I believe the war on terror has increased the terrorist population. It's population in the Middle East alone has had a big increase. I don't believe it has succeeded. There have been multiple terrorist attacks & it doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Innocent people are losing their lives simply because a group of horrible people just want to kill. Nothing is being resolved, so once again The war on terror has not succeeded with anything outside of killing innocent people.

  75. I think that terror is always when a nation is in war, where the most affected are those people who do not cause any problem. The terror is increasing from the fact that the victims are children who are the future of a nation. The terrorist attacks are multiplied and are the center of attention of this world.

I feel like the war on terror has created more terrorists. the reason being is that ISIS isn't concrete. It's not like they have a definite hide out or base that can be destroyed. Since ISIS is spread out and they don't have permanent bases, I feel that war on terror isn't working. I think it's creating more terrorists so that they can combat the war. The terrorists know that they can't be infiltrated because of the lack of permanent bases and there for are just adding more terrorists to add on to their cause.

The war on terror, as I see it, has provoked terrorism. I do not believe that the war on terror has succeeded. If it did, there wouldn't be a question on, we wouldn't be talking about it. The war on terror's point was to call attention to terrorists, and strive to be more careful with our country. 9/11 resulted in many drastic safety procedures. But even after the years, and the money spent, we are still fighting this war. I cannot say confidently that this war is just a matter of time until we succeed. It seems as if it is more so of who will get tired first; us or the terrorists. And because we are paying so much attention to it, so are others. Many more terrorist have reside in our home waiting for chances to cause many more extremities. And honestly, how do you fight a war like this without fighting fire with fire. Since we as a country do not want the reputation that extremists groups do, we are unable to fight the war in the same way they do.

  78. The war on terror has created more terrorists. It has not succeeded. War doesn't solve anything. Has it ever solved anything? It may only solve it temporarily, but not permanently. Charts prove that. We are really only aiding them. We are feeding into their situation. We are giving them what they want.

  79. "The War on Terror" is just creating more problems and more terrorist. We go over to conquer them but all that is happening is just more fatalities in this situation. We are just killing "terrorist" and they are killing us all that is happening is that we have more deaths on both sides of this fight.

I believe that the war on terror has actually increased the number of terrorists. The way the US is going about the situation is ineffective. The war between the "War on Terror" and "ISIS" has killed thousands of innocent people, which is one of the main contributing factors to the terrorism. Nothing is being resolved.

The war on terror has not succeeded. On the contrary, it has increased the number of terrorists in our country. It is what provoked many to join. With such an influential group of people, it should have been expected that more people would catch on. We've put so much money and effort into this war, that we are stuck in the same loop of looking for people, almost catching the people, catching them and having to start all over again. Its a constant cycle of fighting terror with terror. We as a nation aren't able to create the same fear that they do, which makes it harder to compete or stay ahead of the game. The war on terror has changed Even with 9/11 being over a decade ago, we have stuck with our safety protocols. In response to that, terrorists just found more intense ways to take care of what they needed. We are stuck in a cycle and I doubt we will be succeeding in this war anytime soon.

War on terror has only created more terrorists, its like a child's tantrum. When you give that child attention it only makes the tantrum worse but when you ignore the child they eventually stop and act appropriate. That's how I feel towards terrorist. If we were to ignore them then I'm 85% sure they'd fade away. We create more problems when we give them more attention the more popular the get.

Generally speaking, I believe that the War on Terror has created additional terrorists than it's killed. this is often thanks to terrorist exploitation the u. s. actions in their country as an illustration that we have a tendency to 'assassinating' their folks. This build the hate in people who don't perceive what's very happen; so making additional terrorist.
